The Catechist asked whether my husband knew about my new decision, but I told him yes but he would not accept. When he (husband) got know that I was under adult instructions, he was fierce but I told him it is either Eucharist or Holy Matrimony; it is him to decide. He could not, and come Easter 2014, I was officially received for the Eucharist and am enjoying it! I tell all my fellow young women, cohabiting or polygamous marriages are a mortal state of sin, pray to God for help to be set free”!

My Menstruation changed; sometimes I had sometimes not, other times too much blood, sometimes no, sometimes painfully other times not etc. I lost weight and I was looking thin and miserable! My family members were concerned and thought it was because of the pain of rejection by my boyfriend. After asking me a lot I told them what happened. They told me that it is the IUD that was destroying me. I went and removed it. I also want to forewarn other girls who could be contemplating the same thing, let them not”

“After my parent separated, my mother re-married to another man and I and my other siblings remained with our father; recently our father also died leaving us completely in the hand of relatives who hated us because our father was rich. Now our properties have all been grabbed by them and none is concerned about our well being; all this, because we are just girls. My sister decided to elope with a man leaving me alone. On losing all our father’s property, I struggle every day with my education without hope. Sometimes am tempted to resort to prostitution but fear the repercussion. During the Princess Camp in Wadelai, I received Jesus in my life. Now that I have received Jesus, I always feel some comforts and consolation that I will complete my education. Jesus comforts and gives me hope!”

 PRINCESS LUCY GIRAMIA- Parombo 

“I was living sacramental life peacefully until I got some stomach ache. My father decided to take me to the witch doctor. On our way to the Witch Doctor, we even passed by our Chapel, I looked painfully at how I was by passing the church for the witchdoctor, we were walking in bushes and yet the road to my chapel is straight in the open, when we reached, I just entered the shrine with my slippers but I was scolded and told not to, I cried painfully because I don’t have to removed my shoes while entering the chapel of God. I was no longer sacramental and being an active member of the Choir and St. Kizito (Children apostolate) my friends wondered why I was no longer sacramental. Am grateful to God because I was rescued by prayers within the Christian community which was within our community; I confessed what happened and was welcomed for adult catechumen”

PRINCESS JEROSE- Parombo 

“My Aunt jealously told my father not to pay for my education claiming that I am ‘useless and a prostitute’ claiming that I will get HIV/AIDS and pregnant at the same time. All because I am a mere girl- education for what! I was so angry and bitter with her. Now I am at home and not studying. But I am still a virgin and have never slept with any man as she claims. She is only Jealous of my education. Now I have got the grace to forgive her and I believe God has a plan for me and he will send me to school”

During the Camp in Pakwach, I accepted to live a chaste life for Jesus, however when my parents died, none of my aunties and uncles could support me through education because they see no need for girl child education, when I asked them for school fees, they asked me what I was still doing to get married, education of girls is useless!. My grandmother who loves me however is extremely poor to afford all those educational demands. In this situation, a man offered to help me with some education requirements and said he loved me. He later asked to sleep with me. It was hard for me to keep the chastity commitment, so I gave in, I don’t know what to do”
