PRINCESS FIONA AGENORWOTH– Angal
“I whom you see, I am princess Fiona; I have come from very very far! I have been a very bad person; you may look at me and say this person is very young and cannot do bad thing, I have been a prostitute and I did all those bad things young as I am. But now I want to thank the Lord Jesus for this Camp in Angal, I was touched by the preaching and I have left all those satanic acts and I have come back to do God’s work”
PRINCESS CHRISTINE OYENYBOTH- Wadelai
“I was the first wife to my husband but later he brought in another woman and we became two. I managed to attend the first Princess Camp which was held here in Wadelai in February 2014 and I realized that I was actually living in state of Sin by keeping in un-sacramental polygamous marriage. I went home and asked my husband to release me to leave the marriage but he refused. But I continued and discussed with my catechist the process of adult catechumen to return to Sacrament. The Catechist asked whether my husband knew about my new decision, but I told him yes but he would not accept. When he (husband) got know that I was under adult instructions, he was fierce but I told him it is either Eucharist or Holy Matrimony; it is him to decide. He could not, and come Easter 2014, I was officially received for the Eucharist and am enjoying it! I tell all my fellow young women, cohabiting or polygamous marriages are a mortal state of sin, pray to God for help to be set free”!
PRINCESS KEVIN OROMA – Pakwach
“My Name is Kevin, I am a student: I didn’t know the beauty and importance of my virginity, I broke my virginity carelessly. I had so many boyfriends. During the Camp held here in Pakwach, I realized I had given away my precious gift of virginity. But now I have received second virginity and happily keeping it and nothing will make me lose it again. All those boys to whom I gave myself to in the past must know that that was “WAS” now I am in “IS” and “WILL BE”. I will keep my virginity until marriage or if God calls me to be a Nun, I will go”!
PRINCESS BRIDGET- Erusi
“I used to be a prostitute, when I go to the discos, I want to dance with any man, I only ask for a bottle of soda and anyman who can give me, can have me; Lord Jesus and Blessed Virgin Mary, thank you so much for saving me, I will praise you until the end”
PRINCESS CHARITY- Wadelai
“I got pregnant after my Senior Four level but my boyfriend refused me and the pregnancy. After giving birth, and the pain of being refused by that man, I vowed not to get pregnancy again like other girls, I went for Contraceptives and I was given IUD for 3yrs. But immediately a lot of changes began to happen on me. My Menstruation changed; sometimes I had sometimes not, other times too much blood, sometimes no, sometimes painfully other times not etc. I lost weight and I was looking thin and miserable! My family members were concerned and thought it was because of the pain of rejection by my boyfriend. After asking me a lot I told them what happened. They told me that it is the IUD that was destroying me. I went and removed it. I also want to forewarn other girls who could be contemplating the same thing, let them not”
PRINCESS SYLVIA – Erusi
“I am still a virgin but I use to sell other girls to men just in the name of Sugar Cane. I would be a go-between for men who want girls in my schools and outside of school as long as they will buy for me Sugar Cane to chew at school. But with the teaching during the Camp in our Parish, I apologize to all the innocent girls whose ‘pride and innocence I sold out to men and I refrain from such acts. I will now become my ‘Sister’s keeper’. I also inform all men who are hoping to sleep with me that I am for Jesus now and forever!”
PRINCESS MANUELA- Wadelai
“I am a Nursery teacher my profession and I have been struggling with my vocation. Sometimes I feel God is calling me to religious life, sometimes I don’t; when I went for the Diocesan Princesses Conference 2014 in Nebbi Catholic Parish, and later the Wadelai Camp, my calling became clear. Now I am fully received into the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate of Gulu (LSMIG). Thank you Jesus!”
PRINCESS BRENDA ATIMANGO – Wadelai
“After my parent separated, my mother re-married to another man and I and my other siblings remained with our father; recently our father also died leaving us completely in the hand of relatives who hated us because our father was rich. Now our properties have all been grabbed by them and none is concerned about our well being; all this, because we are just girls. My sister decided to elope with a man leaving me alone. On losing all our father’s property, I struggle every day with my education without hope. Sometimes am tempted to resort to prostitution but fear the repercussion. During the Princess Camp in Wadelai, I received Jesus in my life. Now that I have received Jesus, I always feel some comforts and consolation that I will complete my education. Jesus comforts and gives me hope!”
PRINCESS LUCY GIRAMIA- Parombo
“I was living sacramental life peacefully until I got some stomach ache. My father decided to take me to the witch doctor. On our way to the Witch Doctor, we even passed by our Chapel, I looked painfully at how I was by passing the church for the witchdoctor, we were walking in bushes and yet the road to my chapel is straight in the open, when we reached, I just entered the shrine with my slippers but I was scolded and told not to, I cried painfully because I don’t have to removed my shoes while entering the chapel of God. I was no longer sacramental and being an active member of the Choir and St. Kizito (Children apostolate) my friends wondered why I was no longer sacramental. Am grateful to God because I was rescued by prayers within the Christian community which was within our community; I confessed what happened and was welcomed for adult catechumen”
PRINCESS JEROSE- Parombo
“My Aunt jealously told my father not to pay for my education claiming that I am ‘useless and a prostitute’ claiming that I will get HIV/AIDS and pregnant at the same time. All because I am a mere girl- education for what! I was so angry and bitter with her. Now I am at home and not studying. But I am still a virgin and have never slept with any man as she claims. She is only Jealous of my education. Now I have got the grace to forgive her and I believe God has a plan for me and he will send me to school”
PRINCESS MAUREEN KAPARA- Angal
“My Boyfriend was cheating on me and because I was afraid of losing him, I proposed to him to start cohabiting with him. After receiving the chastity message in the Camp of Angal Catholic Parish, I signed the Chastity Commitment Card and started to live a chaste life. I shared with my boyfriend what had happened to me and invited him to do the same that is ‘No Sex Until Marriage’ he said he could not and so we part ways. I am currently happily living my chaste life and waiting on the Lord”.
PRINCESS CLARIS – Pakwach
“My name is Claris and I am 15yrs old. During the Camp in Pakwach, I accepted to live a chaste life for Jesus, however when my parents died, none of my aunties and uncles could support me through education because they see no need for girl child education, when I asked them for school fees, they asked me what I was still doing to get married, education of girls is useless!. My grandmother who loves me however is extremely poor to afford all those educational demands. In this situation, a man offered to help me with some education requirements and said he loved me. He later asked to sleep with me. It was hard for me to keep the chastity commitment, so I gave in, I don’t know what to do”
