I tried in situ planting this year for the first time and boy, have I been happy with it! The peas are going crazy and I’ll harvest a bunch more this weekend. The green cabbage just up and died and the red cabbage languished until now, when I think it is too hot. They will bolt, don’t you think? Next time, I’ll try growing them from seed as well. I have never had the courage to grow tomatoes from seed. I cheat and buy transplants. I think next year I’ll try it your way. In situ is more satifying somehow, isn’t it?
